Diggin' the drama

I missed the Colts loss to Jacksonville Sunday. I was at the Philadelphia airport desperately trying to get a flight home despite the efforts of a certain airline to keep me and my traveling companions in Philly for the night. Between efforts to get aboard a plane, for which we had boarding passes but no seats, we were getting game updates on my husband's phone. It was only later that I heard about Caldwell's questionable timeout at the end of the game.

Colts fans aren't used to losing, especially to a team that has already been manhandled a couple of times this season. Although we're used to win streaks, I wouldn't count out the boys in blue. They have too much talent. Sunday was a setback, but it doesn't mean the season's over. It just makes it that much more exciting.

Last year, it wasn't hard to figure out fairly early that the Colts and Saints were going to the Super Bowl. That was fun for us, but not for everyone chasing us. This year it's anybody's game. I love the drama, the underdog stories, the battles. It's more fun for fans when we don't know what's going to happen. Look at Sunday's Vick/McNabb matchup, or the 3 and 0 Steelers losing to the Ravens. The Packers almost lost to Detroit; Vick's beat up, and Cutler has a concussion. Yeah, this year is going to be interesting. I wouldn't count anyone out yet, especially the Colts!
