Ochocinco, Johnson to race for Haiti

CLICK TO REACT Facebook

Chad Ochocinco and Chris Johnson have come up with a novel way to "rally" support for the earthquake-ravaged nation of Haiti. The outspoken Bengals wideout has challenged Johnson -- the 2009 offensive player of the year -- to a footrace, the terms of which will be discussed this evening in Antigua. But, according to a Tweet Ochocinco sent to ESPN NFL insider Adam Schefter, the "loser is giving there [sic] pro bowl check to those in need in Haiti."

As you might imagine, both players seem fairly confident in their speed.

OGOchoCinco: @ChrisJohnson28">ChrisJohnson28-bruh im going to the pro bowl with you, you want to race for game checks, loser gives the money to those n HAITI n need

NFL players tweet prayers for Henry

CLICK TO REACT Facebook

As the somber news of Chris Henry's accident began breaking, Wednesday afternoon, players across the National Football League began sending out their thoughts and prayers via Twitter. With scant, sometimes faulty information available about the Bengals wide receiver (Wikipedia briefly listed him as dead) many stayed in touch through Tweets from his agent Andy Simms and Cincinnati beat reporter Joe Reedy. Then, with his passing this morning the prayers turned to condolences for his family. Here's just a small collection.

OchoCinco, from "bribery" to philanthropy

How do you turn a one dollar bill into $40,000 of charity? Just ask 85. Chad Ochocinco Tweets that he is now pledging to match the $20,000 fine, imposed on him today by NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell, in a charitable donation to Feed the Children. The Cincinnati Bengals wide receiver was punished for his actions surrounding a mock bribing of an official, with the now infamous bill, during last Sunday's win over the Baltimore Ravens. The NFL donates all fines to charity bringing the grand total to 40k -- who says a buck can't get you anything these days?
