The Wilbon Index: Top NFL teams
1) Saints - Victories at Philly, at Miami and at home over the Jets, Giants and Falcons are the tie-breaker in figuring out whether the Saints or Colts should be ranked No. 1.
2) Colts
3) Vikings -Bounce-back win up in Green Bay was quite impressive...
4) Broncos - One loss, in Baltimore, no reason to drop Denver very far in the WWW ranking...
5) Steelers - Drafting behind the others ... don't need to make a big splash now, although Pittsburgh has won four straight.
6) Patriots - Stretch of Miami (twice), Jets, Saints, Colts will tell us whether the Patriots are Super Bowl stuff again.
7) Eagles - Lose to the Raiders one day, beat the stuffing out of the Giants the next (without Brian Westbrook, no less) ... hard-to-figure.
8) Texans
9) Bengals - Baltimore and Pittsburgh back-to-back will tell us everything we need to know about Cincy.
10) Cowboys - I know, I know ... they've won three straight and Romo has thrown 8 TDs to 0 ints in those games. Let's see how they do at Philly and at Green Bay the next two weeks.
